My personal enjoyment with the show Weeds has declined with each passing season, but the one thing for which I’ll be forever grateful (other than choice Kevin Nealon lines) is the introduction to the (now defunct) band Page France.
Dave and I are both the type of guy who will pick up on a song at random moments in a TV show, rewind them to catch the words and then find the song that night. I believe it borders on obsessive, but that’s not for me to diagnose.
This particular track was used when Conrad and Nancy slept together for the first time. (Finally!) It’s a jaunty, expressive track, filled with almost biblical imagery, and it’s one of my favorites. It feels like being picked up and flown away.
