Around 02/03, when it was in full swing, I tried to avoid the whole screamo movement (or whatever the bands want to be called). It just wasn’t for me. Bands like Breaking Benjamin, Thursday, et. al just weren’t personally compelling. I didn’t have much in my life that needed to find that kind of an outlet, I guess.
