Welcome!

Welcome to the new tympanogram.com. We’re excited to share the new place with you, and are cognizant of the fact that, if it weren’t for the overwhelming support for our old site, we wouldn’t be here. So, in that sense, this site is as much yours – the readers – as it is ours.

The past content is all still intact. We decided to not migrate all the music files over, but we did bring a good portion – more than half, to be exact. In the event that we didn’t bring a file with us, we’ve tried to link to the Hype Machine permalink so that you should be able to listen to it there. We’ve tweaked e-mail addresses, feeds, etc., so be sure to update the information you have for us. All that stuff is found in the sidebar.

Please have a look around. We’re going to be updating as we figure out how better to make the site look, work and feel, and in the meantime, if you come across something that seems out of sorts, please let us know that as well so we can fix it up.

As for the future content, we’re still going to be working through our individual 1000 Minutes posts, but we’re committed to trying to update the site more frequently throughout the week. If there’s something interesting happening, something that we feel we can offer some insight or hilarious comment about, we’re going to post it. This may prove difficult since we are both working men, but we’ll be feeling out how to best make things work.

As we said before, this is your site as well. If there’s something you’d like to see here that we’re not providing, please let us know that as well. We both have our own individual e-mail addresses in the sidebar, or you can find us on Twitter. We’re looking forward to continuing to contribute a little something to the conversation surrounding the juggernaut that is contemporary music.

  • Very nice over haul. I am about to take on the same sort of up grade. You’ve set the standard high.

    Cheers

Thank you very much! Best of luck with your site work! I’ll be looking forward to seeing the finished product.
