At some point during the past twelve months, Das Racist wore out a bit of their welcome for me. I love their lyricism, and their command of cultural references, but I tire of how they always come off as joking about the whole thing. I don’t know why this bothers me, but it seems to. Maybe it’s all just part of a larger commentary, and I’m not privy to the entire picture.
Regardless, they released their video for “Brand New Dance” from their recently released Relax last week, and this is the result.

Basically, it sounded like a cool name for a blog intended to be primarily about music. We’d both had other blogs previously, but over beers it was decided that more damage could be done as a joint venture. And here we are.
We share a passion for the undiscovered and under-appreciated, and hope that you’ll be able to find something you love as well.
