I’ve come across this song from The Wilderness of Manitoba on a few occasions, and I’ve had conflicting feelings each time. I believe I drafted a post about the song upon first hearing “Orono Park” several months ago, but when I heard the song shortly thereafter, I found myself questioning what that former version of me had found appealing. That version of my psyche deemed the track unworthy of a post at that particular juncture. Possibly due to other mitigating factors, nonetheless the song failed to blow me away. Upon revisiting the track once again, the current, potentially more evolved version of myself agreed with the older version and decided it worth posting.

Amid the rootsy folk guitar plucking, as has been the case often lately for my tastes, the vocals are a drawing point. In particular, the vocals of Melissa Dalton are sweet to my ears. See if the present version of yourself agrees.
