Tame Impala – Solitude is Bliss

tame impala innerspeaker 410x410 Tame Impala Solitude is BlissI’ve been hearing rumblings about Tame Impala for a couple of months now, but I didn’t get their debut album – InnerSpeaker – until this past week.  And the rumblings should continue to grow into a constant shrieking, because it’s one of the best releases of the year so far.  On their debut, the Australian trio channels 60′s psychedelica just in time for everyone to space the fuck out on it for the entire summer.

The band was tapped to open for MGMT during their recent tour, and have extended their stay in the States for a few more dates.  To my knowledge, the dreaded iTunes is the only place in the US that one can download the album; if it wasn’t coming from Australia and costing $30, I’d own it on vinyl.  Check out their extended U.S. tour dates over at their site or their MySpace – as well as their remaining dates with MGMT - and get yourself this album.  Solitude may very well be bliss, but with Tame Impala, it’s best to be with your friends.
