Want to be from Black Coffee & Cherry Pie on Vimeo.
Rich introduced everyone to Grenoble, France’s Albert Murienne – better known by his stage name Black Coffee & Cherry Pie – back in the middle of August, describing his music as “trac(ing) a fine line between instrumental acoustic folk and electronic ambiance.” Yesterday Murienne sent along the video for a new track of his called “Want To Be,” which is supposed to be how Black Coffee & Cherry Pie would look and sound in a live setting. And let me tell you, it looks and sounds pretty cool. Murienne carefully loops and builds the track, which fits into Rich’s previous description perfectly, on top of itself – percussion, guitar, bass, vocals – all working together toward a sonic goal.
Murienne is also releasing the track – a previously unreleased demo – for free as well. Grab that below.
