ra ra riot boy [mp3] Ra Ra Riot Boy (RAC Mix)How spectacular is RAC?  Equally as spectacular as Ra Ra Riot, I would say.  Frequent partners in remixing, “Boy” – from RRR’s forthcoming album The Orchard – is the latest track to get the RAC mix treatment.  The remix was released as a thank you to fans who purchased the band’s Boy EP, and it takes the song and makes it a little more jazz/funk spectacular than the original, and really makes Wes Miles’ vocals sound otherworldly.  Of all the RAC reworks I’ve heard, I’d rank this easily as my favorite.

Ra Ra Riot’s new album will be released this coming Tuesday (8/24), but until then, you can still pre-order a copy through Barsuk in various forms and mediums.  The band is on an extensive tour as well – the dates for which you can see over at their MySpace.  They are playing a show at Funk ‘N’ Waffles in their native city of Syracuse on Friday the 27th, which I got tickets to.  It should be a great homecoming for a band that continues to improve and impress.
