We talked about the London band Dead Models twice last year; first when they released their lead single, and again when their debut EP came out. Now the band is preparing to release their first album, and they sent along a track from it along with a teaser video. And while the video isn’t much more than brief clips of each song on the album, it does prove that the band has stuck to their shimmering, surf-pop guns, harnessing their retro chops into a full length.
The track they sent along – called “Take Me In Your Arms” – is a little bit slower than what I’d previously heard, probably best for a slow dance at your next sock hop, or driving your girl to the beach in your Hudson ’49. And while you’re listening to the new track, let me remind you that you can still grab Dead Models’ self-titled, debut EP over at LA label Play White Noise for $3.
